Home > Make extra money with YouGov paid surveys

YouGov is a popular UK and international market research organisation who regularly survey the general public on many different topics ranging from current affairs, politics to consumer products and services. If you watch television, read newspapers or magazines on a regular basis you will often hear about the many different YouGov poll results. It is good to know that in a small way you can get your voice heard on issues that matter and will be included in future survey results that people will take notice of. Surveys are conducted online via the YouGov website, anyone can become a panel member and take regular surveys. Not only are the surveys fun but you will be paid for each survey that is completed or entered into a free prize draw to win money. Participating in online surveys can provide a small income, in fact it is possible to sign up with several different survey websites and increase the amount you can earn during your spare time.

Collect cash for uk surveys online

It is quick and easy to register for an account on the website and start earning money by completing surveys. To create a YouGov survey account you will need to fill out the registration information on the site. As you would expect when registering for any service online you will need to include information such as your name, email address, login and password information. After you have completed the registration process and have an account you can login to the YouGov website. Once you have signed in you will be taken to your 'My YouGov' area, this is for general administration of your account and is where you can select the available surveys you want to participate in. As a bonus you are credited with £1 directly into your YouGov earnings simply for registering. If you have some spare time, perhaps the evenings or weekends you can login and complete any surveys that are waiting. Surveys are usually available every few days or so, you can also choose to postpone any surveys so you are not expected to complete them immediately but can choose to complete them at a later date.

YouGov panel members area, an overview

Each time you login to the YouGov website you will see the 'My YouGov' panel area. The name is similar to the 'My eBay' area on the eBay auction website which you maybe familiar with and is of a similar arrangement. This area of the site shows you all the necessary information which allows the user to manage the surveys and the account in general. It also summarises the total amount of money you have earned to date, the surveys that have been completed and the pending surveys that are available to take part in. The 'My YouGov' panel area is broken down into 3 selectable tabbed areas, these are explained as follows:

Surveys

This tab is divided into 2 sections, the first is labelled 'Profiling' where you will need to provide some basic profile related questions, for example your employment status, education, marital status through to the tabloids you read. The profile information is simply used to match corresponding surveys that will be relevant to the account holder. The second section is labelled 'Available', this will list the current or pending surveys that are ready to complete. When you want to check if there are any surveys waiting then the 'Available' tab is the first thing you will want to check immediately after logging in.

Completed

This tab will show a list of all past and completed surveys. The surveys are listed from the most recently completed to the oldest. Each survey entry in the list will show the survey number, the date of completion and also the reward that has been offered i.e. the cash that has been credited to the account or a free prize draw entry.

Payment History

The payment history tab will list all confirmed payments that have been issued. All payments made by the YouGov site are paid via cheque. You will also notice that your total earnings amount will be shown in the 'My YouGov' area under 'Current Credit'. This is a running total of how much you have earned so far and is incremented by the reward amount when a cash survey is completed. Basically you collect cash for uk surveys online that you complete.
